April is a busy month for store trunk shows at Scheherazade Jewelers with two events scheduled this week. Fine silver jewelry is a perfect fit for warm weather accessorizing. Just in time for spring and summer fashions, Scheherazade Jewelers is hosting a John Atencio two-day trunk show at the Galleria store on Friday and Saturday April 25 to 26. The Colorado-based designer will showcase current silver jewelry collections including three new lines and some new jewelry just for gents (think Father’s Day).
As always, ladies come first. With Mother’s Day coming up on Sunday, May 11, Scheherazade Jewelers is also hosting an Everything Diamonds two-day sales event from April 24 to 25. A spring sales event like this has a perfect timing component for those looking to give a deserving mother the gift of diamond jewelry. Today’s mothers have a range of likes for their precious gemstone best friend, from diamonds of ideal cut proportions that maximize fire and brilliance to rare fancy colored diamonds – especially canary yellow diamonds (a trend driven by many high-profile celebrity engagements).
Let’s not forget those June weddings and diamond accessories. Diamonds look great on ears, wrists and necks too, so don’t forget about diamond earrings, bracelets and pendants for soon-to-be brides. And, those traditional late spring and early summer weddings in past or recent years mean anniversary gifts in 2014. During Scheherazade Jewelers’ two-day Everything Diamonds event the store will have nearly every type of diamond on hand from brilliant makes and shapes to diamonds with grading reports that are as air-tight as a marriage certificate. Be sure to see this stunning array of diamonds during this two-day event.
The Latest from John Atencio
For 2014, John Atencio is launching three new jewelry collections the Flora Collection, the Fuego Collection, and the Verona Collection.
As if to celebrate spring and the bounty of color that blooms at this time of year, John Atencio’s Flora Collection has signature flowing lines and soft edges. Add in blossoms of blue from blue topaz to make Flora a must-have collection. Flora, the goddess of flowers, inspired these pieces from the Antigua Collection. The rich color of this jewelry collection has the earthly beauty that honors the idol in your life.
Fuego is Spanish for fire. John Atencio’s Fuego Collection was inspired by the “flames and fire that burn within,” according to the designer. Each pear shape is at the heart of every piece of Fuego Collection jewelry. “The diamonds appear to rise out of the pear shaped color, like smoke from a flame,” the designer says about the new collection.
The Verona Collection is named after the famed city in northern Italy on the Adige River. Historically a natural border to Italy and Austria, the Adige River served as a junction of major routes between Italy and Europe. Much like the well-travelled river, the lines of this collection are like the gentle curved banks that characterize this tranquil river. “Wearing this collection will give you that sense of serenity, like the flowing river that inspired it,” John Atencio says of the Verona Collection.
